Liang Suwen is a fashion designer and researcher, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Through systematic studies in fashion, I have continuously deepened my understanding of the philosophical relationships between clothing and the body, space, politics, culture, and lived experience. This perspective has profoundly shaped my exploration of fashion as metaphor and mode of existence.

I specialize in draping, pattern cutting, and textile printing. My education in Antwerp has encouraged an expanded and experimental way of thinking, allowing me to investigate diverse possibilities within garment construction. Moving forward, I aim to explore new materials, structural approaches, and color systems in order to uncover varied and nuanced aesthetics.

I am deeply inspired by life and nature. Lived experience, natural observation, attention to detail, and emotional depth form the core of my creative identity. Here, I share my design processes, sources of inspiration, reflections and practices, as well as my ongoing artistic explorations.
